AIM WORKSHOP TECHNICAL SESSION NOTES

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIGS)
   The present schedule for the workshop technical
session provides ample time for small groups of
people interested in special topics to get together
and discuss things. We want to encourage many such
meetings and wish to actively seek suggestions on topics 
and corresponding group members.  If you inform us of
special groups you wish to call we will fix a time
slot and put up the necessary announcements.

SEMINAR
    Each seminar has been allocated a generous 75
minutes with the hope that the time will be suitably
divided to discuss.
     a) the problem domain itself
     b) aspects of problem solving from the CS point
        of view.
The seminar organizers are encouraged to do their best
to balance their presentation and also to stimulate
discussions from the participants.  Remember
there is no AUDIENCE, only PARTICIPANTS.  A suggested
way to balance the presentation is to share the
time between two experts.

PANEL DISCUSSION
     Each panel will have an organizer.
Each P.D. has a list of four or five topics to
discuss and the organizer may structure discussion
among panelists to cover about half the alloted time.
The other workshop participants need to be drawn into
discussion as appropriate.
    In addition to the Panels that are already
defined in the schedule, further panel discussion
may be announced before or during the workshop.
